A young man is dead following what mounties say was an accidental shooting on Salt Spring Island.
RCMP say they responded to a reported shooting at a home on the Island where there were six youths- including the victim early yesterday morning (sun).
The man was transported to hospital in Vancouver but died of his injuries later that day.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Salt Spring RCMP, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit and the coroner's service are investigating the death.
