A number of BC Ferry sailings have been cancelled due to high winds.
Right now, there are no sailings running between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay. 3 o'clock sailing looks like it will go and there are no waits for walk on passengers.
The Queen of New Westminster also had both its 10.15am and 12.45am trips cancelled between Tsawwassen and Duke Point.
Deborah Marshall with BC Ferries says despite the sunny skies, conditions are rough at sea.
"We are experiencing high winds across the Strait so that has been effecting our service to and from our Tsawwassen terminal. The winds are predicted to come down this afternoon though so we are just monitoring the weather to see what time we can resume service."
Environment Canada has issued a special weather warning that snow is on its way for parts of Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver.
