Victoria Symphony Splash presented by Quality Foods, is an annual musical extravaganza that takes place on a floating stage in Victoria’s Inner Harbour.
The event is one of North America’s largest annual outdoor concerts, drawing close to 45,000 Victoria residents and visitors from around the world.
Schedule of Events - Sunday, August 5
TD Family Zone: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Beverage Garden and Culinary Corner: 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Pre-show entertainment: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dock Side Drive
Maestro Kluxen and the Victoria Symphony: 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
Finale including 1812 Overture and Fireworks: 9:45 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The TD Family Zone located on the Fairmont Empress Lawn will feature plenty of activities for the entire family from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Activities will include:
Face painting
Instrument petting zoo
TD MySpend Challenge
An activity with the Royal BC Museum
Sportball bouncy castle
Victoria Symphony craft
Clowns and drumming workshops
World Cup Youth Soccer Shootout
The event can be viewed by land or sea. Kayakers and canoeists can moor near the floating stage. Please ensure you have proper lights for your paddle home.
A passenger drop-off zone will be available on Government Street, located across the road from the Fairmont Empress Hotel on Sunday, August 5 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
There will be a special viewing area for people with disabilities and their families and friends on the northwest corner of the Fairmont Empress lawns.
Greater Victoria Harbour Authority will install fencing to protect the “Welcome to Victoria” flower bed again this year.
To maintain pedestrian access along walkways on days leading up to the event, lawn chairs must not be set up on the Upper or Lower Causeways until Sunday, August 5 at 8 a.m.
Parking will be free at City parade’s and on-street meters on Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6.
