VicPD are asking for help to identify a suspect in a “money exchange scam” that targeted a local business on Sunday, November 17th.
Managers at a business in the 3100-block of Hillside Ave. reported a man made a purchase with a large bill, then distracted the clerk, and was able to get back more change than he was due.
A single scam like that can cost businesses hundreds of dollars.
He was caught on surveillance, and police say he is also a person of interest in another similar file.
He's described as a Caucasian male in his early 30s, with an athletic build, with short brown hair.
At the time was wearing a black baseball hat and a dark blue or black hoodie with white writing and dark pants.
