A Victoria nurse who sexually assaulted a senior patient has been stripped of his nursing credentials for at least 5 years by the College of Registered Nurses of B.C.
In a release, the college says Gary Dromarsky admitted to assaulting the 73 year old patient during a foot massage in September 2017. The incident involved Dromarsky touching the patient beneath her underwear and massaging her buttocks.
The CRNBC says it took the "extraordinary step" of notifying the media, as it was determined he breached limits placed on his practice during their investigation by continuing to provide private foot care to 2 patients in their homes.
Dromarsky is not facing criminal charges in connection to the college's investigation.
Meantime, Victoria police will not confirm whether Dromarsky is being criminally investigated -- citing privacy rights. In a statement they add if an arrest is made, charges sworn, or a warrant issued, they would release more information about an ongoing investigation.
