Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps will lead the city's second trade mission to China and Japan October 15-24th to strengthen the city's business and cultural ties with this important Eastern market.
The trip will build on last year's mission and Helps will be joined by eight local companies, Camosun College and Tourism Victoria.
The 10-day trade visit will include meetings in Beijing, Shanghai and Victoria's sister city Morioka Japan. The focus of the meetings will be on exporting local innovation in clean technology, manufacturing, education, film and tourism.
Helps says the group is returning with an even larger contingent to strengthen established relationships and open up new export opportunities.
