A Victoria man arrested on suspicion of intentionally ramming a vehicle in which his ex-girlfriend was riding has been charged with 2 counts of attempted murder and 1 count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
46 year old Sebastien Normandin was taken into custody shortly after a complaint was received on Tuesday night. VicPd officers were called to the 1-thousand block of Gillespie Place where a 2-vehicle collision had taken place. One of the vehicles was badly damaged.
It was determined there was a long history of domestic violence between two of the people involved. Investigators believe one of the vehicles was driven by a man who intentionally drove at two other people in an attempt to harm them, although the two were not in the vehicle at the time of the collision. One person involved suffered non-life threatening injuries in the incident.
No further details will be released as the matter is now before the courts.
Normandin remains in custody and will appear in court on January 4th.
