Harold Backer, the former Olympic rower and Victoria investment advisor who went missing for over a year is out on bail.
Backer appeared in court on Monday and was allowed to leave on $50,000 bail.
Conditions of his release are that he has live with his mother, not leave the province and not have any contact with his former clients.
A few weeks ago the three time Olympian turned himself into police and was arrested on site and now who faces two counts of feud of over $5,000.
None of the allegations against Backer have been proven in court.
It's still unknown what he was doing while out on the lamb for the last 18 months after he took off from home on his bicycle.
