The next court date has been set in the case of Andrew Berry, who faces two second degree murder counts in deaths of his daughters Chloe and Aubrey Berry on Chistmas Day.
Berry, 43, appeared over video link but didn't speak during a brief court appearance. He now has a lawyer Kevin McCullough, who told reporters who asked how his client was doing in jail that "For a person that's never spent a day in custody, it's very difficult."
He adds his client deserves a fair trial saying he hopes "the presumption of innocence is alive and well and that people don't prejudge this matter."
He was also critical of how police handled the media in relation to his client's case.
" The danger is that you're trying to argue the case or shape it, or convince the public that you've done your job, and that all is well, and that matters are firmly in hand. Which is all some sort of attempt, at least the corollary is it makes the public think the peron that's arrest is guilty."
Berry's next court date was set for February 22nd when his lawyer is hoping to set a date for a preliminary hearing.
