The President and CEO of Wilson's Transportation here in Victoria is musing about taking over some of the Greyhound routes set to be abandoned in just over 3 months time.
Speaking on CFAX, John Wilson, confirms his company is among those considering the more viable runs:
" I fully expect some of the private oiperators such as ourselves to look at somne of the runs, the more sustainable runs, to fill in some gaps along the way. And we'll see wehere that lands in the coming weeks."
Greyhound Canada announced this week it's ending service at the end of October across Western Canada due to a decline in use, as well as competition. The only route the company is retaining is between Vancouver and Seattle.
Wilson has instructed his staff to examine BC runs, and possibly a few in Alberta.
