The RCMP is investigating the incident of potential tampering of products at a facility in Victoria, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has launched a food safety investigation.
The milk recall involves Island Farms, Lucerne and Natrel
Agropur Cooperative issued a recall and the CFIA has issued a food recall warning.
The harmful extraneous material in these particular products poses a risk to consumers.
The recall only applies to two-and-four litre plastic jugs and not cartons (see list below)
It only applies to identified products with best before dates up to and including July 3, 2017.
