Victoria police are looking for a man with a skateboard in connection with a reported assault downtown during the noon hour.
It was originally reported as at about 12:15 pm in the 26-hundred block of Ross Lane, located off Hillside between Blanshard and Douglas.
But VicPd now say the location was actually the 26-hundred block of Douglas Street.
When officers arrived on scene they found the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries and being cared for by bystanders.
The suspect is described as a man standing 5'2" tall, with a medium build, wearing a blue top, brown pants and carrying a red skateboard, fled the area and was last seen in 700-block of Hillside Avenue.
The victim was transported to hospital. The type of weapon used during the assault has not been disclosed. If you have any information, call VicPd.
