Victoria Police say a member of their patrol division has been injured during an attempted arrest Monday.
It happened around 2 p.m. when patrol officers were called to the 1200 block of Douglas for a report of a conflict between to men in a business that turned into a physical fight.
Officers spoke with one of the men and began searching the nearby area for the second man who was alleged to be the instigator.
A short time later officers located the second man nearby, and after a brief discussion, attempted to arrest him. He resisted and began to fight with the officers, during which time one of the officers was injured.
Both the man and the officer were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
