Canadian golfer Dawn Coe-Jones has died at the age of 56.
The native of Lake Cowichan was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 2003 after an impressive career on the LPGA tour.
Coe-Jones had three career title wins after being on tour from 1984-2008. She also won the British Columbia Amateur title in 1982-83 and the 1983 Canadian Amateur title.
Coe-Jones was battling cancer and had surgery in March. Golf Canada said Saturday that Coe-Jones had died at a hospice near her home in Tampa, Fla.
She leaves behind a husband and son.
