The man in his 20s stole a poppy donation box from a Blanshard Street business and threatened a customer when he was confronted.
Victoria Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a poppy donation box Thursday morning.
Officers were called to a business in the 2600-block of Blanshard Street at 3:20 a.m. after a man in his 20s was observed cutting a security cord and stealing a poppy donation box.
When a customer confronted the man, the suspect produced a weapon and threatened the individual.
VicPD Police chief Del Manak says the suspect is known to police and will appear in court appearance Friday.
