The owner of 2 Pomeranian puppies is appealing to the people who took them to bring them back, and is offering a $1,000 reward for their safe return.
Tracy Vandekerkhove is disabled, and says she was not able to run after the man who fled from her Langford home with a male and female pup.
The female, named Mila, is described as an orange sable colour with 3 white paws, while her brother Stripe, is cream coloured.
Making matters worse, Mila was premature, and had to be bottle fed for weeks. The little girl who helped do that had been promised Mila.
" We just want her back. This puppy belongs to a special little girl who was there the day that they were born, and has come 5 days a week to take care of them, and bottle feed them, and help raise them, and you know prepare them to go with their families."
Tracy tells CTV Vancouver Island that RCMP are investigating, and may have a lead:
" RCMP have a good lead on one of the puppies, but the orange one hasn't been seen, or no one has any idea about her health or her well-being since she was taken."
Tracy says the puppies are still too young to be separated from the rest of their litter.
They are 8 weeks old and have been microchipped. We have posed a photo on our website.
