Island Health says lab reports have come back negative in the recent suspected measles case.
The exposure sites listed on Monday, including the Victoria Butterfly Gardens, the Walmart on Saanich Road, and Selkirk Montessori School are no longer considered exposure sites.
The instruction to restrict unimmunized children from attending the school for 21 days has also been retracted.
Island Health says in a statement that they had to act quickly to prevent exposing and spreading a highly contagious virus. They appreciate the cooperation of everyone involved, and acknowledge any stress or inconvenience the earlier alert may have caused.
