Man reported missing with his son mocks news he is missing, calling it FakeNews
After RCMP in Port Alberni issued a news release appealing for information about a missing father and his son the man has surfaced on social media mocking the news.
Family became concerned for the welfare of 35 year old Jan Stelmaszyk and his 3 1/2 year old son when he stopped posting to Instagram over several days. They were supposed to be camping on Vancouver Island, possibly in the Victoria area.
In a new posting Stelmaszyk says:
"OMG!!! I just woke up to realize me and my son are "missing". That "some family members" are "concerned" about where we are and that I haven't posted anything on social media for a couple of days." #fakenews #backtoposting
It's unclear if he has contacted RCMP or family to say where he is. RCMP have not commented. The location tag on the Instagram posting says Arco, Italy.
