The family of a man whose body was pulled from Langford's Glen Lake is struggling to cope with the news.
Josh Bennett's body was recovered after a member of the public called West Shore RCMP late Sunday to report human remains in the lake.
Glen Lake Park was closed to the public as RCMP, fire crews and a diving team worked to retrieve the body.
Bennett, a 31 year old carpenter, was reported missing on March 9th, after leaving Langford bowling lanes. His image was last captured by a video surveillance camera as he walked through a nearby industrial park.
RCMP say there are no obvious signs of foul play, and investigators and the BC Coroners Service will work to determine the cause of death.
Meantime Bennett's uncle, Clayton Leachman, says while they wait for those answers, just knowing he's been found is helping:
"It's tough. Josh being as young as he was, and such a full life ahead of him, it's really hard to kind of rationalize. But we're coping. Having Josh with us is a positive thing for us."
Leachman says he doesn't believe his nephew was the victim of something bad, or criminal. He says as far as he knows Josh could swim, although not well.
Leachman thanks the public for their support during the ordeal -- and asks for help taking down the posters appealing for information, so the family doesn't have to see them everywhere they go.
