Around 530 p.m. police were notified of a domestic dispute when they arrived they found a 47year old man with a nonlife threatening stab wound in the abdomen
A suspect in last nights domestic dispute which resulted in a stabbing has been arrested.
Saanich police responded to a home on the 3200-block of Alder Street at 5:30 June 7. The 47-year old man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
Sergeant Jereme Leslie said police believe the man was stabbed by his common-law partner.
“When our officers arrived we were met by a 47-year old man who had been stabbed in the abdomen. It was learned through the investigational process that this man had been stabbed by his common-law," Leslie said.“The suspect is a 42-year old woman from Saanich, and she was not located at the time of the incident as she had fled prior to our arrival.”
Leslie said the pair was known to police before this incident.
