There's a new twist in the case of 2 Vancouver Island men who went missing from Ucluelet in May and were found dead in June.
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration has confirmed it is assisting in the RCMP investigation, but they are not saying why they are participating in the case.
The DEA's purpose is to enforce controlled substance laws and regulations of the U.S.
Ryan Daley (43) and Dan Archbald (37) , had just completed an 8 week sailing trip to Panama, and were last seen leaving a small marina in Ucluelet when they disappeared May 16th.
Their remains were found about a month later by a person out walking their dog.
The deaths are being investigated as homicides by the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit.
