A Sooke RCMP officer is okay after his vehicle was intentionally rammed Thursday morning.
Just after 10:00 am a Sooke RCMP officer was on patrol in the area of Drennan Road and Highway 14 (Sooke Road) and noted 2 males in a U-Haul cube truck, bearing Alberta plates.
The officer pulled in front of the truck, which was stationary at the time, to inquire about their activity in the area when the driver rammed the police car and took off.
The vehicle fled eastbound on Sooke Road at a high rate of speed.
No plate number was obtained from the vehicle. The 2 suspects are described as Caucasian, wearing black and grey hoodies, dishevelled in appearance, and likely in their 20's.
The police car had minor damage, and the officer was not hurt. Police continue the search for the U-haul truck and suspects.
Anyone who has information on the UHaul truck is asked to call Sooke RCMP or Crimestoppers .
