Two teenagers that were hiking on Mt.Finlayson had to be rescued on Monday evening.
The Langford Fire and Rescue Department were called out to mountain at around 5:30pm to reports of two hikers who had fallen.
Assistant Fire Chief Scott Davidson says used drone to pinpoint exactly where the hikers were.“Based on the information we had, we found a female patient had fallen about 60 ft. plus there was a second patient not hurt but stuck precariously so we ended up doing to separate rescues.”
The teenaged girl had fallen the furthest had to be taken to hospital with lacerations and some head trauma according to Davidson. Her condition is unknown at this point.
Davidson says every indication was that the teens were off the trail and hiking where they shouldn't have been.
