The annual New Years Day Levée at Government House has been cancelled because of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, and due to renovations underway.

The Levée has been a tradition since British Columbia entered Confederation in 1871, with Government House opening its doors to friends, neighbours and visitors, for refreshments, music and friendship.

But, as a way of continuing the celebration, Government House invites past attendees to share their favourite photographs and memories online until January 4th.

A winning photo will be chosen by a panel of judges, and the winner will enjoy a catered picnic lunch for two on the grounds of Government House (COVID-19 restrictions permitting).

A winner will be announced on the Lt. Governor's blog on Jan. 18th.
