After cycling over 1000 kilometres down the length of Vancouver Island, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock wraps up Friday in Victoria's Centennial Square.
The riders have spent the past couple days visiting Capital Region schools and receiving donations raised by students. Yesterday, Oak Bay High presented a cheque for nearly $64-thousand dollars.
Grade 12 student Jack Mulcahy spoke with CTV Vancouver Island at yesterday's event, "I think it's really great. It's helping kids out and it's helping bring our school together. As you can see, everyone here is one big community right now."
The Tour de Rock raises money and awareness for pediatric cancer research and also to send kids with cancer to Camp Goodtimes.
Riders arrive at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon in Centennial Square for the final event. Before that, there are more schools to visit.
