Two Victoria brothers received awards from the Victoria Fire Department.
Finn and Sampson Parker, 13 and 16, saved their younger sibling, grandmother and their family's tenants when their home on McClure Street caught fire in March.
Sampson tried to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher, then grabbed his three-year-old brother and got him outside.
Finn ran downstairs to tell the tenants to get to safety.
As all this was going on the flames spread through the 110 year old house in minutes.
Fire Chief Paul Bruce says it takesĀ courage in the face of danger to do what the teens did.
The brothers received the Citizens Meritorious Service Award in a special ceremony Friday.
