A man arrested in Courtenay in connection to a pair of serious incidents at the Saanich Shopping Centre is being transported back to Victoria for a court date Monday morning. 37 year old Michael Godolphin was arrested without incident by Comox RCMP Thursday afternoon.
He is facing 6 counts: Discharging an Air Gun with intent to wound, Assault with a weapon, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and use of an imitation firearm in committing an indictable offence, Robbery, and Theft under $5-thousand.
Warrants for Godolphin's arrest were issued Tuesday after a man pointed a handgun at a loss prevention officer outside the Saanich Centre London Drugs, and minutes later robbed a cyclist of a bike on Lochside Trail.
