West Shore RCMP say an electric bike stolen out of Colwood was spotted in View Royal
West Shore RCMP got a report of a stolen electric scooter yesterday (Thurs) and recovered it the same day!
A citizen advised RCMP that their e-bike, or scooter -- a 2015 Kgeez Rufus, worth about $3,000 -- had been stolen sometime during the night from a property off of Island Hwy in Colwood.
Armed with photos, officers the Bike Patrol Unit spotted it at a View Royal residence and set up surveillance.
Officers watched a man emerge and drive away on the scooter. They caught up to him, and he was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property.
The suspect was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
