Saanich Police say a speeding driver is lucky to have escaped serious injury in single vehicle collision on the weekend.
It happened at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on the McKenzie onramp to the TransCanada Highway.
Investigators say the driver was standing outside of the flipped vehicle when they arrived.
Police say the driver was fined for failing to drive with due care and attention.
