We're getting word of a spectacular crash in north Saanich Friday night.Emergency crews had a situation on their hands on Lochside Drive between Cy Hampson Park and McTavish Road around 6 p.m.
The vehicle struck a water pump station and burst into flames.Paramedics attended but the driver's condition has not been released.There are reports that prior to the crash a man stole the vehicle from the co-op gas station on the Pat Bay Highway, ran over the driver and fled the scene. So far police have yet to confirm any details.
