Sooke RCMP have announced a drug bust in which several ounces of cocaine, several pounds of magic mushrooms, and a pistol and loaded magazine have been seized.
Mounties say an investigation into the actions of drug traffickers dealing primarily to other dealers in Sooke concluded with a 30-year old man being arrested shortly after midnight on Thursday.
A search warrant was executed on his Sooke home a few hours later, and the drugs, gun, a ballistic vest, and over 7-thousand dollars in cash were seized.
Police are recommending charges of drug trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unlawful possession of body armour.
