The earth shook a little in Victoria region last night.
A small 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck at 10:06pm about 7 kilometres northwest of Langford.
It was at a depth of 25 kilometre, which is relatively deep.
People from Westshore to Oak Bay took to social media to comment.
Seismologist for Natural Resources Canada John Cassidy says Tuesday night's mini shaker was one of 1050 earthquakes recorded in the vicinity of Vancouver Island during the past year.
