Mounties on the Saanich Peninsula are searching for a man who is responsible for an armed robbery at a Sidney Pizza shop on Saturday morning.
Corporal Culvor Johns with Sidney/North Saanich RCMP says at around 1:00 am, a man entered the shop through the front door. “He went around the counter and encountered the employee in the store and at gunpoint had him take the till out and grabbed all the cash from the till and then ran out.”
RCMP were alerted and searched for the man with a dog but there were unable to find any trace of him.
He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and police aren’t saying which pizza shop.
He is described as Caucasian, in his 20’s or 30’s, blonde hair, about six feet tall. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black balaclava, green camouflage pants and dark boots.
