Baby deer struck by car transported to animal hospital in police cruiser

It's okay to "fawn" over the actions of Sidney-North Saanich RCMP after they came to the rewscuie of a baby deer struck by a car yesterday.

Officers placed the injured fawn in the back seat of a cruiser and got it to an animal hospital.

The detachment posted photos of the wounded fawn lying on a plastic-covered seat.  They tweeted that it was " likely the cutest (and quietest) passenger ever transported in the back of our newest car!"

The fawn was put into the care of the Central Saanich Animal Hospital  for treatment. No word on how it's doing.
