The District of Saanich is holding 4 open houses between May 4th and 16th to firm up rules on garden suites.
Using information from previous public engagement sessions. Saanich has developed a proposed framework for regulations aimed at permiting garden suites in the district. The upcoming open houses are intended to receive feedback.
Mayor Fred Haynes says increasing housing options is a key priority for the district and garden suites may be a way to bridge the gap.
The information from the opn houses will be used to revise the proposed regulations -- which will go to Council for consideration.
