The 2018 budget includes a 3.07 municipal property tax increase

Saanich residents can expect to pay a little more in municipal taxes this year.

Faced with rising costs for policing, infrastructure, and library services,  Saanich Council has now passed a 2018 budget that calls for a 3.07 per cent tax increase.

They say it should equate to about $77-dollars more a year per average Saanich homeowner.

Tax notices will be mailed before the end of May 2018, which will also include other taxes such as CRD, CRD Hospital District, and the Regional Transit Authority.
