Oh to have a straw! That's probably what beer fans were thinking as they drove by a river of beer flowing down a downtown Victoria Street Thursday afternoon.
A tank burst at the Phillips Brewery on Government Street and Pembroke Street at about 2:45 sending suds and brew onto the floor, out the door, and down the road.
Staff members "hopped" to it, clearing away the mess using hoses and push brooms, washing the foam into a storm drain.
It's unknown how much beer was lost -- but a tank holds 300 twelve-pack cases of bottled beer.
The theory on the cause is a valve issue.
