Technical Safety BC is recommending trampoline parks be regulated if the wake of a fatal accident last year that resulted in the death of a Victoria father.
46 year old Jay Greenwood died in January 2018 after reportedly doing a series of "acrobatic manoeuvres" at the Richmond Extreme Air Park.

Currently Technical Safety BC oversees the safety of “amusement devices” like roller coasters and ziplines, but not trampoline parks.
The organization proposes new definitions of amusement rides to clarify for operators and the public which rides are regulated, and which are not.
Technical Safety BC consulted with more than 400 people including the public, and park operators -- and all agreed public safety is paramount, with many agreeing Technical Safety BC is the appropriate organization to provide oversight.
