452,000 Kidde brand smoke alarms have been recalled across North America, about 40,000 were sold in Canada.
Two recall affects Kidde dual-sensor smoke alarms models PI-2010 and PI-9010.
They were sold between fall 2016 and January 2018.
A yellow cap left on during the manufacturing process can cover one of the two smoke sensors and compromise the smoke alarm’s ability to detect smoke.
