West Shore RCMP say a Tuesday night fire at a trailer park on Songhees Nation land has been deemed suspicious.
Two trailers were destroyed by a fire that started in one of the units and spread.
View Royal Fire Chief Paul Hurst says the initial call was dramatic, "initial reports were multiple occupants trapped and people jumping out the windows."
Crews arrived at the Park Meadows trailer park around 11:30pm, six minutes after the first call.
"On arrival they found two trailers well involved in fire and a vehicle on fire in the driveway. So, it got very busy very quickly for them," says Hurst.
In the end, everyone got out safe and nobody was hurt. Hurst says 39 firefighters responded and they had help from neighbouring departments.
Hurst says they know the fire started in one of the trailers and that's where their investigation is focused.
RCMP say they've identified people of interest but won't say more at this time as their investigation continues.
