Premier-designate John Horgan and his cabinet will be sworn in at Government House in less then 2 weeks. The big day for the NDP is July 18th at 2 p.m.
Horgan, with support from BC's Green caucus, defeated the Liberal government of Christy Clark in a confidence vote last month. The NDP won 41 seats in the May election, and the Greens 3. The LIberals won 43. But the NDP and Greens siogned a deal to work together in a minority government.
Horgan has announced who his advisors will be but has yet to announce his cabinet.
New Democrat MLA and transition spokesperson Carole James says the new government will address the problem of ordinary people being left behind.
James says the new government and cabinet will work for everyone, not just the wealthy and the well-connected, and are excited to start delivering on their commitments.
The NDP has promised to make life more affordable, deliver the services people count on, and create good paying jobs around the province in a sustainable economy that works for everyone.
