Lifelabs may be on the verge of strike action.
Members of the B.C. General Employees' Union have issued a 72-hour strike notice to their employer.
They represent around 12 hundred workers across the province who voted 98 percent in favour of strike action in November and have been without a contract since last April.
The union says poor working conditions and wages are the key issues in the dispute.
