A cannabis-infused menu is coming to a restaurant near you.
The operators of Trees Dispensary say they will be opening the middle of next month in former Willie's Bakery space on lower Johnson.
It will begin with a soft launch, eventually rolling out into a menu-based eating establishment featuring pot-infused edibles.
General Manager at Trees Dispensary, Alex Robb explains what will be featured.
"It starts with an appetizer, and the appetizer has a cannabis-infused in an alcohol-based tincture, or sugar-based tincture--something so that it is absorbed quickly into the body, so you get that feeling right away. It's true that edibles typically take an hour to two hours to kick in, but that's because they go through the entire digestive system."
Initially the space will serve as a cannabis consumption site and Robb says hopefully by December 2019 or January 2020 they will introduce cannabis-infused edibles.
