West Shore RCMP say the suspect is still at large after a man on the Songhees reserve was allegedly stabbed by a female family member last night.
Police responded to a home on Ned Williams Road, on Songhees First Nation land in View Royal, at around 9:30 for a call that a man had been stabbed in the abdomen. The mounties say the incident appears to have been triggered by a physical altercation between the two parties.
The victim has been treated in hospital. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
Police have not been able to locate the 23-year old suspect, but say they don't believe she poses a risk to the public.
