Central Saanich police were called to the Brentwood Bay ferry terminal this morning about 8:30.
Cnst. Ryan Johnston says officers received a call of a man brandishing a knife:
" Apparently there was an altercation between 2 of the drivers that were getting ready to board the ferry. The ferry staff held up traffic for us and we responded. We located the male who had the knife in his vehicle, and we conducted what's called a code 5, or a high risk vehicle stop. We were able to arrest the driver without incident."
BC Ferries says the police incident has put the Brentwood bay - Mill Bay run about 25 minutes behind schedule.
