The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence just got a lot bigger. At a cost of 1.2 million dollars
the Pise track is now open. Funding came from the federal and provincial governments. The 4 lane 400 metre training track is fully accessible and is the only track of its kind on the island. According to Pise, CEO Robert Bettauer says this track is for everyone.
“this is a fully accessible track, the surface is called a fully encapsulated surface soft enough for able bodied athletes to run but firm enough for wheelchair athletes to train on as well.”
