A petition on Change.Org has garnered over 41-thousand signatures; demanding Mountain Equipment Co-op stop selling products from a company that is linked to another that makes semi-automatic weapons.
MEC members want the company to stop the sale of all Vista Outdoor brands.

Vista Outdoor brands for sale at MEC include: CamelBak, Giro, Bushnell, Bollé, Camp Chef, and Jimmy Styks.
The head of Mountain Equipment Co-op says the company isn't rushing to make a decision about its supply chain.
MEC commented on Twitter Monday, stating, "We take this issue seriously, thank you for contacting us to express your concerns. We value your input. MEC is committed to responsible supply chain practices and transparency and we will continue to be guided by those values."
MEC C-E-O David Labistour says the Vancouver-based outdoor goods retailer will be looking carefully at potential risks involved with the larger holding companies it deals with.
