Intruders broke a window, cut power and ransacked the premises, but no animals were hurt
Parksville SPCA say animals were scared, but thankfully unhurt, after a Break and Enter early Friday morning.
RCMP responded to an alarm at the branch shortly before 1 a.m.
The culprits smashed a window to gain entrance, but it's not clear yet what was taken.
Intruders ransacked the premises and cut power to the building, forcing a temporary closure of the facility.
A forensics team is collecting evidence.
