The 800 Block of Pandora avenue, which has come under fire in recent weeks for drug dealing and other criminal activity, is getting a boost from a private security firm.
Don Evans Our Place executive director says starting tomorrow (Friday) a private Neighbourhood watch will be patrolling the block.
"it's a neighbourhood security that is going to be the eyes and ears on the street if there's drug dealing they can report it."
The security service is going to be 24-7 and will be paid for by BC Housing; Island Health and administered through Our Place.
