Victoria is getting some much needed, pet-friendly apartment units.
But if you don't act fast they'll be gone.
The Hudson Walk Two offers 106 pet-friendly units in the heart of Victoria's downtown.
Half of the building has already been leased and the other half will likely be leased by the end of the week.
The units start at $1,500 a month for a 1 bedroom and ride to $2,000 for a two bedroom.
Landlord BC's David Hutniak says that's not exactly low income but it should still help free up other apartments. "It's a process but we can sit and do nothing and have it get worse but this is going to make a huge difference over the long run absolutely."
Mayor Lisa Helps was on hand for the unveiling ceremony and she feels it's a step in the right direction. "It's good for retail it's good for the city it's good for eyes on the street it's good all around."
Hutniak also says, the fact the entire building accepts pets will also provide relief for cat and dog lovers who have struggled to find a place to house them and their furry friends.
Victoria's vacancy rate is .05 percent.
